Our single aim: to prevent and reverse disability for everyone with multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica and MOG associated disease. We achieve this through 6 themes: Personalising Treatments through Big Data and AI; Discovering and Proving New Repair therapies; A Visual and MRI Outcome Development Programme; Studying Children with MS, NMO and related conditions; Study ageing in multiple sclerosis; and Measuring and sustainably addressing healthcare inequalities.
Esclerosis Múltiple España is a non-profit entity of national scope and declared of Public Utility. We work together with 37 entities in Spain. Our mission is promote different activities related with health and research and social actions to improve the quality of life of people with MS and other degenerative diseases of the nervous system.
France Sclérose en Plaques is both a patient association and a foundation and has for objective to become the reference in multiple sclerosis and associated disorders in France. France Sclérose en plaques have 5 main missions: to fund research, to help people affected by these diseases (patients, families, caregivers), to inform and train on the diseases, treatments and aids, to raise awareness among public opinion and the media, to mobilise public authorities.
MS Together is a charity providing advice and support to people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS), with a focus on those aged 18–35 in the UK and Ireland. We offer peer support, information, and community-led events to help young adults navigate life with MS and feel less alone.
The Austrian Society of Neurology (ÖGN) represents neurologists in Austria, promoting education, research, and public awareness. Founded in 2000, it advocates for the field nationally and internationally, and is active in global organizations like the WFN, EAN, and UEMS.

Polish MS Society is a non-governmental organisation aiming to improve quality of life of people living with MS & their close ones by expanding access to MS diagnosis, treatment & quality health care, providing free of charge support & increasing knowledge about the disease among society. It has over 20 chapters rounding up several thousands of people with MS. The organisation collaborates with recognisable clinicians in MS field and is a member of international societies: MSIF & EMSP.
Portuguese Association’s goal is to provide a multidisciplinary engagement to discuss the challenges of demyelinating diseases—through research, national and international collaboration, and the disseminating of knowledge that leads to better care, deeper understanding, and a promising future for all involved.
Shift.ms is the digital community for people with multiple sclerosis (MSers). Founded by MSers, for MSers, as a charity we offer social and emotional support, inspiring MSers to take charge of their health as soon as possible after diagnosis. We’re independent and we’re free.
Talks With MS is a registered charity founded by Terri-Louise Brown in 2016 to support individuals living with Multiple Sclerosis. It connects people through mentorship, education, and shared experiences while amplifying Black and Brown voices in MS spaces. Acting as a “big brother/big sister” network, it provides a safe space for honest conversations, advocates for accessibility, and works to bring greater diversity and inclusion to MS-focused communities worldwide.
MSIF is the global movement of MS organisations, by and for people affected by MS. We network, learn from each other, mobilise and enable global collaborations, to achieve the vital goals that can only be reached by coming together as a movement. We, the Federation, are made up of national MS organisations (including their staff, volunteers and MS communities), the MSIF staff, board and committees.
The Multiple Sclerosis Fashionista (MSF), founded by Roxy Murray, is a bold platform empowering MS patients through art, adaptive design, and radical storytelling. MSF centres patient voices, challenges ableism, and celebrates disabled joy and identity. Featured in Vogue UK, Wellcome Collection, and BBC 100 Women 2024, it uplifts LGBTQIA+ and diverse voices with style, purpose, and power.
The Nerve of My Multiple Sclerosis CIC is a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting individuals of black heritage, especially black women, with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). We create a safe space for open discussions about MS, empowering our community and reducing health inequalities. Through social activities, we combat isolation and foster connections. We also collaborate with healthcare professionals to address racial prejudices, encouraging everyone to seek the medical help they need.
The National MS Society, founded in 1946, is the global leader of a growing movement dedicated to creating a world free of MS. The Society provides global leadership and funds research for a cure, drives change through advocacy and provides programs and services to help people affected by MS live their best lives.
Kultivate is a psychological practice created by and for people with disability, providing support and education that is lived-experience based and is rooted in disability justice. We believe that every person deserves to live their best life and envision an equitable society where all disabled and multiply marginalised people can thrive. Kultivate’s mission is to engage with disabled people to improve their quality of life and wellbeing through education, peer support and therapy.
MStranslate provides accurate, unbiased, accessible information about multiple sclerosis research and news worldwide. It is also a social network that supports people living with MS and the community around them: their families and friends, researchers and the media.
NMO Brasil exists to welcome and bring knowledge to other patients and their families, as well as to inform, educate and raise awareness about Neuromyelitis Optica. Furthermore, it works in function of public policies for people with NMOSD. Here it is worth mentioning that Brazil is the first country to have NMO Awareness Day on the national calendar, as this was our request. We are also proud to have been pioneers in lighting up a public building for NMO Awareness.
